Although more than 5 million children in the United States have a speech, language, and hearing disorder, parents are often uninformed and unsure about what to do when they suspect their child. This May, and every May since 1927, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) has used the May is Better Hearing and Speech Month (BHSM) celebration to provide parents with information about communication disorders to help ensure that they do not seriously affect their children's ability to learn, socialize with others, and be successful in school.

National recording artists, Third Eye Blind, will rock Naval Station Norfolk’s Vista Point. Navy Concert schedule presented by the Navy Mid-Atlantic Region and sponsored by USA Discounters.

Let 1st Art be your first stop for education fun. Our experienced early childhood specialist has designed a fun, age-appropriate curriculum based on a playful approach to art. The 1st Art program engages our youngest artists and fosters learning by teaching fundamental motor skills, increasing self-confidence, promoting awareness of the visual and tactile world, and by integrating the senses. Where astronomers bring night skies closer to tourists along the boardwalk this summer! With astronomical equipment costing thousands of dollars, tourists are offered telescopic views of the heavens which include visible planets, craters on the moon, passing satellites and space stations, and many interesting stars. Telescopes of various designs are available to look through, including some that are specifically designed to safely observe features on the sun. Learn to identify constellations you knew were up there, but always wondered where. Learn about the very latest discoveries from a host of spacecraft and satellites as well as the Hubble Space telescope with the ViewSpace presentation that will be on display.
