Lynnhaven River NOW and Tidewater Bicycle Association will host their third annual "Bayside History Day Bike Tour" on Saturday, May 21st at 9 am until mid-to-late afternoon, held in conjunction with Bayside Heritage Day. Enjoy a leisurely, family-paced bike ride while learning about the history and ecology of the Lynnhaven River. Help students of Cape Henry Collegiate School raise money for a trip to Taos.  10% of all proceeds during this time to go towards helping the CHC students.  The goal of the students going to Taos to is to fight poverty, preserve traditional cultures and conserve nature!  Cape Henry groups play a crucial role to assist villagers build the financial capacity to create alternative livelihoods
to hunting and logging while creating awareness and support for environmental conservation and cultural preservation.  Cape Henry is directly assisting the Seuang River communities become
independent stewards of their tourism resources.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Are you tired of rain?  We may need to build an ark soon...wonder if we'll ever have all of our soccer practices? 

Here is a list of rainy day activities to help keep your kids from driving you (too) nuts.

This is a great alternative to making ice cream for kids when you want them eating something a bit healthier!  It doesnt get better or easier than this my friends!

2/3 cup pure juice (meaning real juice, not "juice drink")


Approx one tray of cubed ice
6 tbsp rock (coarse) salt
1 pint size Ziploc bag
