Did you know that according to a new report from the National Fire Protection Association that on Independence Day in a typical year, more U.S. fires are reported than on any other day, and fireworks account for half of those fires, more than any other cause of fires? In 2008, an estimated 22,500 reported fires were started by fireworks. These fires resulted in one civilian death, 40 civilian injuries and $42 million in direct property damage.

White tissue paper
String or ribbon
Scissors or paper trimmer
Hot glue or glue dots
8 1/2 x 11 Patterned cardstock
