The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's popular preschool music group and stars of the hit TV series of the same name, will hit the road in February 2012 for the first time ever on a 15-week nationwide concert tour.  Kiki (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Shout (Thomas Hobson), Marina (Tara Perry), and Twist (Jon Beavers) will perform The Fresh Beat Band hits from seasons one, two and three of the live-action music series that teaches preschoolers about music appreciation and how to express their feelings through movement, song and instrumental music.

Thursday, March 29 - Preventing Youth Suicide

Youth Suicide is a devastating epidemic that destroys young lives, shatters families, and leaves a wake of sadness and confusion for those left behind. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people ages 15-24 and the fourth leading cause of death for youngsters between the ages of 10 and 14. By educating others and ourselves, we can make a difference in preventing youth suicide. This event will help participants learn about, the incidence of suicide in our society, including warning signs and risk factors, the correlation of depression and suicide, and strategies to prevent suicide and share community resources.

Cardboard box
Construction paper
Paint

Easy and Delicious Pineapple Matzah Farfel Kugel

Ingredients

6 eggs

3/4 box matzah farfel

1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple with juice

1 stick margarine

3/4 cup of white raisins

3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Beat eggs, pineapple, sugar, raisin, vanilla, and margarine.

Mix together, and add matzah farfel.

Pour into a well-greased pan.

Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
