Spanish and Preschoolers

Virginia Beach School of the Arts

Learning a second language is easiest when you are very young! This is because areas of the brain responsible for learning language in general are developing at a rapid pace before age 5. Unless your child is in a bilingual household, it is important to provide early and frequent exposure.

Preschool for the Arts at the Virginia Beach School of the Arts has daily Spanish classes for enrollees ages 3-5  to learn songs, vocabulary and comprehension. They even offer weekly afternoon stand alone classes for all children in the community to attend.

All of their experienced Spanish instructors are native born Spanish speakers with years of training and experience in the classroom.

“We make learning fun and creative for our young learners” the director of the Virginia Beach School of the Arts says. “When a child is having a good time, you can teach them anything. Learning through play is working with nature, it is the easiest and most enjoyable way to learn.”

So, as you are choosing your child’s preschool and educational experiences, keep in mind that they are primed for learning a second language, the arts and everything through play.
