This extraordinary event features a stunning collection of WWII aircraft taking flight, set against the backdrop of a sprawling 130-acre campus and grass runway. What truly sets this event apart from other airshows is the immersive experience, complete with living history encampments and meticulously preserved 1940s airfield buildings. Warbirds Over the Beach offers attendees a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience American history, while enjoying historic aircraft demonstrations. Enthusiasts from Virginia, the United States, and beyond flock to this event for an unforgettable experience.

Mark your calendars and join us for a weekend of nostalgia, excitement, and the roaring engines of vintage aircraft echoing through the skies! All proceeds from this event help fund the Military Aviation Museum and its educational programming. We are a non-profit 501c3 museum.

Our show schedule will include aircraft flight demonstrations from our World War II aircraft collection, live, vintage vocals provided by Theresa Eaman, WWII Living History displays, aircraft cabin tours, air crew meet and greets, great vendors and an Aviation Exploration Station filled with family activities!

VIP Club Tickets:

Enjoy the festivities and entertainment from inside this premium venue. Guests of the Club enjoy admission to the show, a prime view of the flight line, seating, complimentary premium beverages (including beer, wine, soda and water). FREE Parking with purchase of air show tickets for all occupants of the vehicle. Our parking is on-field, and there is no bus ride needed to get to the parking lot to the air show grounds. Please note: Accessible parking is available, but is on grass.

Cancellation:

Please note that this event is rain or shine, and that performing aircraft are subject to change without notice. Flying performances are weather and maintenance dependent, and may be cancelled or substituted for ground demonstrations as necessary. Event admissions support the Museum and its efforts to Keep ‘em Flying.

Rules for Event:

  • There is no smoking or vaping permitted on the field.
  • Please do not touch or climb on vehicles, displays or aircraft unless you are invited to do so by a member of the crew.
  • No drones, quad-copters or similar machines may be operated on the airport property.
  • No segways, hoverboards or similar motorized vehicles are permitted on the field (this does not include mobility assistive devices).
  • No pets (only service animals will be permitted on the property during an event).
  • No hard sided coolers. You are welcome to bring a soft-sided cooler with lunch, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. There will be a bag check at admissions. Food trucks will be on-site .
  • No alcohol may be brought onto the show grounds. 
  • No tents, umbrellas or sun coverings may be brought in.
  • No weapons may be brought in by the general public, period attire or otherwise.
  • No cooking or open flames are permitted.
