Halloween is all about creepy, curious and downright mysterious fun, and this year, Mad Science of Hampton Roads is putting a scientific spin on the spooky season!
From bubbling potions and floating eyeballs to foggy experiments and hands-on science activities, Mad Science offers families, schools and community organizations a fun way to celebrate Halloween while sneaking in a little STEM learning along the way.
| 🧪 Get Ready for Some Spooky Science! Forget the ordinary Halloween party. A Mad Science Halloween Party brings a costumed, high-energy science experience right to your home or event venue. Kids can watch creepy experiments come to life as Mad Scientists create floating eyeballs, bubbling potions, spooky effects and a graveyard fog using dry ice. And because it’s Mad Science, the goal isn’t just to watch, kids get to experience science in action. | |
| There are three Halloween party packages to choose from: 🎃 Pumpkin Package — $250 A 45-minute Halloween science party for up to 20 children. 🔮 Hocus-Pocus Package — $300 A 60-minute Halloween science experience for up to 20 children, including your choice of glow-in-the-dark slime or cotton candy. 👻 Spook-tacular Package — $350 A 75-minute Halloween science party for up to 20 children, including both glow-in-the-dark slime AND cotton candy. 🧙♀️ Planning a School or Community Halloween Event?
Mad Science has Halloween programming designed for larger groups, too.
Their Halloween Special Event features approximately 45 minutes of not-so-scary science entertainment for groups of up to 250 children. The show includes high-energy demonstrations featuring floating eyeballs, bubbling potions, a melting witch and a spooky graveyard fog effect created with dry ice.
For even more hands-on fun, event organizers can add interactive Halloween Activity Stations, including a Spooky Science Station and Bubbling Potions Station.
That’s a great option for schools, libraries, community centers, festivals, fall celebrations and other family-friendly Halloween events.
🔬 The Science Fun Doesn’t Stop After Halloween
If your child loves experimenting, building and asking “why?” about everything, Mad Science offers STEM experiences throughout the year. Mad Science can visit your child's school to bring the excitement through assemblies, family STEM nights, after-school enrichment clubs, or even in-class SOL-correlated workshops. Outside of the school setting, Mad Science offers scout programs, summer camps, library programs, and birthday parties! Learn more about everything they do at their website.
🎉 Science Makes a Great Party!
Mad Science isn’t just for Halloween. Their mobile birthday parties are designed for children ages 5–12 and can be held at your home or another venue, indoors or outdoors.
Depending on the package, young scientists can participate in interactive experiments and exciting grand finales such as bubbling potions, rocket launches and cotton candy creations. Take-home activities, lab coats and themed goody bags are also available.
And because Mad Science travels throughout Hampton Roads, parents don’t have to worry about transporting a group of energetic young scientists to a special venue. The Mad Scientists bring the fun to you!
