Fall Harvest Fair at Hunt Club Farm (Sat-Sun)This year’s Annual Fall Harvest Festival at Hunt Club Farm features Virginia Beach’s Largest Pumpkin Patch, Petting Farm, Farm-Tour Hayrides, Pony Rides, Inflatables, Carnival Rides*, and a range of Special Events throughout the month.

CHKD Let's Make a Scarecrow!(Sat Oct 8 & Sun Oct 9)McDonald Garden Centers present "Let's Make a Scarecrow!" on Saturday (9am-4pm) and Sunday (10am-4pm). Support CHKD and have fun at the same time while making your own life-size scarecrow to take home for fall decorating! Fee includes supplies to make one scarecrow.

The Hunt for Dead October (Fri Oct 21)Join the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and Nauticus for a hauntingly great time. A spooky scavenger hunt and fishing at the sunken pier are just two of the many activities offered during this fun-filled night. We'll also be debuting our puppet show, "The Brig of Bartholomew," a tale of deceit, terror, and love.

Driver Days Fall Festival (Sat Oct 22 & Sun Oct 23)Parade (10am Saturday), petting zoo, live music, pony rides, arts & crafts, bounce houses, monster truck rides, car show,hot dog eating contest & more!

When: 9AM-6PM Sunday 11am-5pm

 Military Family Festival (Sat Oct 22)Bring your little ghouls and goblins out for trick-or-treating, live shows from Mad Science and the crazy characters from Magical Solutions, free treats from local restaurants including P.F. Chang’s, games, prizes, hay hunt, rock wall, mini golf, live animals, crafts and lots of free giveaways.

Halloween Trick or Treat (Sat Oct 22)

Join us for a fun and safe Halloween celebration for parents & children ages 12 and under.

Monster Madness at the Virginia Aquarium (Fri Oct 28)Come to the Aquarium dressed for halloween fun! Our annual Monster Madness event will feature nature-themed crafts, storytelling and a chance to meet some of our "Creepy" creatures!

Zoo Boo Family Fun Day (Sat Oct 29)Animal pumpkin smashing, costume contests and, of course, trick or treat candy stations. Haunted Hayride ($1) and Zoo Boo Choo-Choo ($3)

HALLOWEEN HAYRIDE at HOFFLER CREEK(Sat Oct 29 & Sun Oct 30)The whole family is invited to a Halloween extravaganza! The party includes a hayride, games for kids, crafts, and concessions!

Portsmouth Museum Madness (Sat Oct 29)Enjoy a haunting day of Halloween fun at the Portsmouth Museums, including frightfully fun Arts and Crafts, Face Painting, and Wizardry! Do it all with a “Museum Madness” pass. The Courthouse Galleries will have face painting, pumpkin decorating, and music with Skye Zentz. Scarecrows, made by local students, will also be on display in the Courtyard. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum, will have "ghost tales" and crafts, including: making a pirate flag, and creating "porthole monsters" The Frightship Portsmouth!Lightship Portsmouth Museum will be transformed into a haunted vessel, the "Frightship."

VB Farmers Market Trick-a-Trunk (Sat Oct 29)Decorate your trunk with decorations, music, lights and lots of candy.Trunks will be voted for Funniest, Scariest and Most Original Prizes will be given to winner of each category Kids come dressed to go Trick n Treating around the trunks for goodies and surprises. Vote for your favorite trunk and enjoy the music and cars.

Zoo Boo Fright Night (Sat Oct 29)Zoo Boo takes on a more sinister tone, focused on thrilling adults and older children. There will still be costumes and candy, but there will also be the Train of Terror, Haunted Hay Ride and more. It's so scary, we have to put the animals inside!
